Launch of the Switch Company Feature in ERPXpand

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Switch Company feature in ERPXpand, a significant enhancement designed to upgrade the multi-company navigation experience. This feature was thoughtfully created to improve efficiency for users who manage multiple companies within the system.

Previous Situation

Previously, users who needed to work across different companies had to open new tabs and insert companies site url to access another company account. This was time-consuming and sometimes disrupted workflow, especially for accountants, auditors, and consultants handling multiple companies. There was also an issue when switching companies. Users were redirected back to the homepage instead of remaining on the same page.

Benefits of the New Feature

1. Seamless navigation between multiple companies without logging out.
2. Time-saving for users who frequently switch between companies.
3. Page retention ensures that when you switch companies, you remain on the same page in the new company environment.
4. Clear visibility of the current company name at the top right corner of the screen. Additionally, the button displays the name of the company and its assigned background color.
5. Controlled access as only permitted users can switch companies, based on role permissions.

Switch Company Button

The Switch Company button is located at the top right corner of the screen, displaying the name of the company you are currently logged into.

It can also be accessed by clicking on the avatar button, which opens a dropdown menu that includes the company switch option. This ensures you can always find it quickly, no matter where you are in ERPXpand.

How to Use

On clicking the Switch Company button (or selecting it from the avatar dropdown), you will see a list of companies you can access. Simply select the company you want to switch to, and ERPXpand will take you directly to that company’s workspace—without requiring a new login.

When the preferred company is selected, another pop-up is displayed that provides the option to open within the current tab or in a new tab.

Choosing either ‘Open here’ or ‘Open in new tab’ button will redirect the user to the site of the company selected automatically.

Page Retention on Switch

Another improvement is the ability to remain on the same page when switching companies.

For example:

1. If a user is viewing invoices in Company A and switches to Company B, they will automatically land on the Invoices page in Company B.

1. This ensures a smoother and more consistent workflow, saving time and reducing navigation steps.
